New member here. Did a search, came up blank, so here's my question.

Who sells nice STEN kits?

I am building a semi auto Mk 3 for my son's birthday, so I want it to be nice.

The kit I got has some bad cuts.

Thanks

I'm no expert, but you might ought to get somebody's take on making a semi auto open bolt gun. I think the BATF takes a dim view of that.

The IMA kit arived today.

The trigger assembly doesn't look like the other Mark 3. Is it for a Mark 2?

All the other parts look like they are for a mark 3.

Trigger assembly should be interchangable I believe.

those don't look too bad for their age.....All I believe was really different between the 2 and 3 was the covered barrel....and not much else

Thats a MK-II kit receiver / trigger section. The rear sight and double step
in the back is a sure sign of it.
The MK-III kits are usually much better to work w/ but unfortunately about the same as the demilled kit you have.
Good luck on the semi build they are not easily done and a pain in the ass to weld up unless you have a good knowledge of tig welding.

Thanks. I will see if they will exchange it for a Mark 3 trigger assembly.

My welding skills are not the best. Maybe only slightly better than on that trigger assembly. So it will an original look.
