To reduce or prevent brass bouncing back in to the action from a hard case catcher, see U.S. Patent No. 6,836,991 (which is now expired). I modified an E&L hard plastic catcher for an HK 91 similar to that design and just put the wedged foam piece on the wall directly across from the ejection port, not on all the walls. Works well for me.

For the Uzi I use a M16/AR-15 mesh bag mounted "backwards" - with the Velcro strap behind the rear sight around the (folding steel) stock. I have a bunch of small rare earth magnets slid around the inside of the fabric on the bag wire to stabilize the bag against the of the receiver. Also works well for me.

YMMV, etc.

Nice job on the match.

Some say the UZI is ugly. I guess everyone has their own taste!

Another casing catcher that appears to be designed specifically for the Uzi is shown and described in U.S. Patent No. 7,168,200.

If someone brings these to production I'd buy one provided it isn't outrageously priced.

Also those photos of that stainless prototype, I love that 'battlefield' worn finish on that UZI. Sweet.

I've thought about it, but it sounds like another very niche market and I'm not sure it would be worth the time to make them and make them nice.

UZI BRASS CATCHER

This is a UZI brass catcher I acquired some time ago. It has a rubber coated steel frame that snaps over the UZI's top cover. The body of the catcher is made of synthetic mesh with a velcro closure at the bottom.

Bought an Ammobroom instead - works brilliantly - collects the odd rock but no drama !
